About the kitchen
Tasty Tech is a shoppable list, not a magazine. Five things worth owning each week, plus Stacks — complete, opinionated buying guides that turn a weekend of open tabs into one finished decision.
Gadget media has a portion-size problem. Every review is a nine-course banquet of benchmarks for a decision that needed one honest paragraph. Every “best of” list has forty winners because forty products means forty affiliate links. Nobody will just tell you what to buy, because telling you what to buy ends the page view.
So the rules here are short. Five things a week, not forty. We say the actual sentence — “buy this one” — and put the reasoning next to it, along with what to skip. The picks are chosen first; links get attached after, and they never decide what makes the plate.
How the lights stay on
Two ways, and we’ll spell out both. The Stacks cost $19 each, one-time. That $19 buys the written decision — the picks, the reasoning, every future revision. Inside a Stack every pick links straight to the maker’s own page, and where Amazon carries the exact item there’s a tagged order link beside it. Use either; the tag adds nothing to what you pay.
The weekly menu is free to read, and its Place Order links go to Amazon the same way — through our Amazon Associates account, so the house earns a small commission on qualifying purchases. That’s the entire arrangement: no sponsored courses, no “partnerships,” and nobody pays for a seat on the menu or in a Stack. Every pick is locked in before any link is attached, and a commission has never saved a bad one from being called bad.
If we ever get a pick wrong, we say so in the next menu and fix the Stack it lives in. Buyers of a Stack get every revision, forever. A guide that quietly rots is just a listicle with better typography.
